About Sally

I’ve always been drawn to words, to stories, and to the feeling behind them.
I grew up in Frankston, watching it change, grow, and slowly reveal what makes it special. That sense of place has stayed with me. It’s part of how I see things, and part of how I design.
My career began as an illustrator, long before everything moved to screens. From magazines and newspapers to agencies and print, I learned how ideas take shape in the real world. Over time, that work evolved into something more. Not just creating, but working closely with people, understanding what they’re trying to say, and helping bring it into focus.
Sally’s Studio grew from that.
It’s where design, storytelling, and community come together. Some ideas stay here. Others grow into something much bigger.
Alongside the studio, I created Gotta Love Frankston and Link Locally. Both came from the same place. A desire to connect people more deeply to where they live, and to the businesses and stories around them.
I also continue to create for children, with projects like Monty the not so scary Monster, always with the same intention, to make something that connects, encourages, and leaves a lasting impression.

At the centre of it all is a simple drive.
To create work that feels considered.
To help people tell their stories clearly.
And to stay connected to the community that continues to shape everything I do.
